UF Resins

Urea formaldehyde-based resins are indicated for the most diverse wooden collage processes, such as multilaminated plywood, wooden doors, joining of wooden blades, finger joints process, wood paper collages, among others.

UF resins are classified into 3 types, according to the degree of formaldehyde emission.

  • Low Emission (UF 317 BE, UF 300 BE, UF 320 BE)
  • Average Emission (UF 400)
  • High Emission (UF 500)

Melamine Resin

Melamine Urea Formaldehyde Resin
The 2011 MUF resin, as it is known, is more suitable for hot press collage, where the produced material need is greater resistance to water and humidity. It can also be used in cold collage with special catalyst indicated by the Polecola team.

Melamine Resin
The melamine resin is used to impregnatre fabrics and papers, and, in some saces, the international market demands it for wood collage, since it is not allowed using phenolic resins. In this case, the strength of this resin is equal to a phenolic resin collage, capable of resisting in cycles of up to 08 hours of boiling.

Phenolic Resins

Formaldehyde Scavenger

Sequestpol is a balanced formulation that aims at the sequestration of free formaldehyde in the production processes of plywood, gates, agglomerates and MDF. This formulation aims to meet international standards for the emission of free formaldehyde, such as ASTM D 5582 14 – Desiccator method.

Catalysts

Catalysts or hardeners are substances that have the chemical property of reacting with urea resins and taking them to cure (hardening), being indicated for cold and hot processes.
